ulcinjska riviera A draft privatisation plan for Montenegro’s state-owned companies has been proposed by the Montenegrin Privatisation Council, and will be discussed by the government next week. The plan has announced the privatisation of 33 of Montenegro’s companies through either auction or stock exchange, and recommends the continued privatisation of other companies that have already begun the process.

Among those not recommended for privatisation, however, include Elektroprivreda, Montenegro’s state-owned electricity company, Plantaze, and Airports of Montenegro. The council has proposed that the government begin its privatisation of hotels on the Budva and Ulcinj Riviera, aswell as Barska Plovidba, a large shipping company. The plan also states that the privatisation of Pobjeda, a daily newspaper; Bokaproduckt, a land-owning company near Tivat; and Duvanski Kombinat, a tobacco factory will continue.
