PAO Seaver Visits Ulcinj

On Wednesday, November 3, Public Affairs Officer Shelly Seaver visited Ulcinj to meet with high school students, local NGOs and the local TV station “Teuta.”

Ms. Seaver spoke with students about the role of the U.S. Embassy in Montenegro, youth exchange programs, Embassy resources for young people, the Embassy’s Facebook page and the American Corner in Podgorica. She also met with the civil society organization “New Horizon” to discuss the Embassy sponsored project in Ulcinj which will foster discussion about Euro-Atlantic integration among high school students from different backgrounds.  The meeting was followed by a visit to the Old Town of Ulcinj to talk with NGO “Ora” representatives who are very active in local cultural preservation.

PAO Shelly Seaver  and Cultural Affairs Assistant Bernard Cobaj were also guests in the local bilingual TV station Teuta.  Ms. Seaver gave a statement about strong relationship the Embassy has with various partners in Ulcinj ranging from politicians to civil actors and Mr. Cobaj spoke about Embassy projects and exchange programs for TV Teuta “Ulcinj Chronicle.”
