Bay Valdanos is located about 2 km northwest of the town of Ulcinj, and represents one of the most distinct landscape ecological units of the Adriatic sea, with it’s main attraction ancient olive grow.

Looking at the geographical position within the territory of Ulcinj Rivera, at the beginning it is logical, to concept Valdanos as an exclusive destination for holidays in inspirational and relaxing environment, on the other side of Ada Bojana also with high category, active contents and its specific ecosystems.

Given the unique natural environment, we feel that for Valdanos it is necessary to develop concept for development of high level resort with an emphasis on ecology, that would together with beach tourism offer a strong wellness and spa facility, based on natural sensations of olives and olive oil, which dominate the whole bay, and the abundant sources of thermal water that is suitable for medical purposes use (high level medical tourism), additionally golf would also enrich the offer.

Additional content should also be the Convention tourism of smaller scope (board meetings, presentations or training for senior management, etc.) and additional health care facilities (estheticsurgery, recovery on a high level, etc.)

In terms of spatial organization, all mentioned above means low overall density of development, a range of content and programs focused on health, increasing energy, regeneration, recovery and beauty. An important element must also be a spiritual component in terms of modern trends in tourism, by using position of Montenegro in the crossroads of civilizations, its tradition of knowledge and spirituality of ancient traditions and the famous monasteries. An important element of the offer will certainly be an additional sports and “adventure” activities within the zone, but also throughout the wider area.
