PRESENTATION: DOCUMENTARY EMBROIDERY

Documentary Embroidery uses textile crafts to collaboratively create tapestries depicting the social reality of a place.

Last August such a tapestry was produced in Stoj, a suburb of Ulcinj.

In the following year, 2013/14 four more tapestries were produced: in Aradac (Serbia), Bitola (Macedonia) and Mostar (Bosnia).

This is the first time all four tapestries are presented together in public.

Come hear the stories behind these four works. We will hold a conversation regarding the relevance both locally and internationally of such a technique.
