Live Southern Soul Festival in Ulcinj Montenegro 2014

Second edition of Southern Soul Festival Montenegro will be held on Velika Plaza near Ulcinj. Four festival days (26.-29. June 2014) will bring together all soul, jazz, disco and house lovers.
Most beautiful sandy beach on Adriatic coast and its idyllic surrounding are recognized as a perfect spot where the musical pulse of the world meet.
Located at the southern part of Velika Plaza, within D’olcinium Kite Club, Southern Soul Festival this year brings over 40 acts and more than 70 hours of music on 3 stages.

In the premises of the Tourist Organization of Ulcinj  there was a meeting held on Friday February 1, with the organizers of the festival Southern Soul Festival Montenegro 2014, which is supposed to take place in Ulcinj in June this year. At this meeting our representative was pleased by the fact that such a festival is going to be held for the first time in our town and he offered every possible help by the Tourist Organization of Ulcinj, explaining that such a festival is certainly going to make the offer of Ulcinj even better for the year 2014. The venue for this festival is the beach Kite Surf Dolcinium on the Long Beach, as one of the best locations for such an activity. The participants of the meeting emphasized that this location had been chosen due to the fact that the Long Beach is abundant in natural beauty and the whole beach is considered to be an unrevealed jewel of the Montenegrin tourist offer.

The mission of the Southern Soul Montenegro Festival is to popularize this kind of music in Montenegro and in the region, as well as to establish the base for festival tourism without which every European developed country cannot imagine its tourist strategies. The vision of this festival is to make Montenegro become a recognizable European destination of festival tourism as well as to influence the music taste of the new generation of young people in Montenegro. They presented the concept of the festival organization which is going to last from June 28 until June 30, where 3,000 visitors are expected to come, half of them from Montenegro, and the other half will be made of foreigners especially from Great Britain, where a strong campaign has already begun. There will be an on-line ticket sale, a web-site promotion, Facebook, Twitter and other net connections, where every inquiry about coming to Ulcinj is going to be updated.

They stated that by a careful choice of the programme selectors for the festival they succeeded in ensuring a large number of distinguished performers of the mentioned musical directions from all over Europe , so that 60 musicians and DJ-s are a guarantee that the programme conception of the festival is going to answer to all the expectations. The programme definition of the festival is SOUL music, as the name of the festival says. Soul is the definition for three programme days of this festival. On the first day of the festival the guests are going to perform or release the music from funk and soul orbits. The second day is reserved for house music, and the third for reggae and jazz.
