Old town of Ulcinj on the UnescoTranslated by Anida Resulbegu

The Government of Montenegro has started the procedure for inclusion of the Old town of Ulcinj on the Unesco list World Heritage Center enrollment, learned Portal Ul.info.

This unique urban complex, founded in the fifth century BC, is located on the so-called tentative list of the Ministry of Culture. This means is considered to be of great importance and plans are made for Unesco nominations in the future.

In this proposal for years the Association of Friends and supporters of the Old town “Kalaja” insisted. However, so far lag behind concrete support of the Montenegrin Government and the local administration.
