Mediat elektronike malazeze transmetojne se te dy ministrat ne konferencen e perbashket per shtyp vleresuan se ekziston “interesim i madh dhe mundesi” per zhvillimin e marredhenieve turko-malazeze. Shefi i diplomacise malazeze gjendet per vizite zyrtare ne Turqi, ndersa eshte paralajmeruar se do te takohet edhe me kryetarin tirk Abdulla Gjyl.


Montenegro’s foreign minister to visit Ankara

Foreign Minister Ali BabacanMontenegrin Foreign Minister Milan Rocen will pay an official visit to the Turkish capital later this week upon an invitation from his counterpart, Foreign Minister Ali Babacan, the Turkish Foreign Ministry announced yesterday in a written statement.
The visit by Rocen will be the first official visit from Montenegro to Turkey after the West Balkan country declared independence in June 2006. During his visit, scheduled to take place on Friday and Saturday, Rocen will also have talks with President Abdullah Gül and Parliament Speaker Köksal Toptan in addition to Babacan.
The Montenegrin and Turkish ministers will seek ways of improving bilateral relations and will exchange views on regional and international issues of common concern, the Foreign Ministry said, while noting that several bilateral agreements would be signed between the two countries during the visit, without elaborating on the subjects of the agreements.
Soon after declaring independence, Montenegro became a member of the United Nations and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). The country, a member of the Council of Europe since May 2007, is also a potential candidate for European Union membership.

Montenegro’s FM due in Ankara

Montenegro’s Foreign Minister Milan Rocen will pay an official visit to Turkey on Jan. 18-19 upon an invitation by his Turkish counterpart Ali Babacan, the Turkish Foreign Ministry announced yesterday. Rocen’s trip will be the first official visit to Turkey by an official from Montenegro since its independence, the ministry said. The two ministers will exchange views on improving bilateral ties and recent regional developments, it said. Rocen and Babacan will also sign some agreements during the meeting.
