Albania and Montenegro will be joining forces in their efforts to attract foreign tourists, the two countries tourism ministers, Ferdinand Xhaferri and Branislav Mi?unovi? told media recently.
The two neighbouring states are preparing joint tourism offers, the ministers said after their recent meeting in Tirana.
Such joint efforts will allow the two neighbours to offer tourists the chance to see more cultural and archaeological sites, together with the ideal conditions afforded by the Adriatic coast.
In addition to tourist packages for the coast, Albania and Montenegro plan on developing packages for mountain and lake tourism, especially for the Lake Shkodra, which is situated in the Zeta-Shkoder Valley in south-eastern Montenegro and in the karstic terrain of the southeast Dinaric Alps in Albania.
The joint tourism packages, according to the Macedonia Information Agency, will start to be offered before the beginning of the new tourism season.
