Ambassador U.S. Embassy Podgorica Uyehara visits Ulcinj
On December 8, Ambassador Uyehara visited the Salina area in Ulqin/Ulcinj. She was accompanied by Director of National Parks of Montenegro, Zoran Mrdak and members of Parliament from Ulcinj and USG exchange alumni Genci Nimanbegu and Dritan Abazovic.
Ambassador Uyehara also visited the Lighthouse, located in Valdanos Bay, accompanied by Deputy Director of Maritime Security and USG exchange alumni Nexhat Kapidani.
The second part of her visit focused on the Ana Malit region where she visited the mosque in Krythe/Krute village built by U.S. diaspora donations. She met with Mayor Fatmir Gjeka, Head of Business Club Ana Malit Kabil Kurti and editor-in-chief of “Koha Javore” weekly newspaper Ali Salaj in the picturesque restaurant in Shas/Svac. The Ambassador visited the mediaeval town of Shas/Svac and premises of the Office for Cooperation with Diaspora. At the end of her visit, Ambassador Uyehara met with NGO “iACT” representatives.
