On a session in Podgorica a couple of days ago the Government of Montenegro reached a decision that the eco-tax for foreigners will be abolished. The decision comes after 2 years of foreigners having to pay the eco-tax every time they entered Montenegro with a vehicle. The fee was anywhere between 10 and 150 euros, depending on the type of the vehicle. After they would pay, they would get a sticker which is valid for one year.

When photographer Galiya Sabitova took this picture on holiday in Ulcinj, Montenegro, she didn’t even notice the unusual cloud formation until her husband pointed out that it bore a striking resemblance to an eagle in flight
At first glance, you could be forgiven for thinking that this is an eagle swooping over a beach at sunset.
On closer inspection, it becomes clear that the ‘bird’ is in fact a cloud.
And the setting sun even makes it appear as though there is a shadow on the underside of the ‘wing’

U.S. Ambassador to Montenegro Sue K. Brown hosted a private Iftar dinner on the occasion of the Islamic religious holiday Ramadan at hotel Mediteran in Ulcinj on August 23. Guests included 60 religious, cultural, business, and civic contacts of the Embassy from the Muslim community.
This is the seventh Iftar dinner organized by U.S. Mission in Montenegro. Similar events were organized in 2005, 2006, and 2010 in Podgorica, 2007 in Pljevlja and in 2009 in Ulcinj.
